This lamp is made out of an aluminum cylinder with a pleated interior and a black metal base. It was designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier. Best used to highlight an architectural element in the room or piece of art by placing it below it. 

Awesome lamp. One of my favorites. I want to keep it. It’s got a couple dents. But you know how I feel about some wear. Overpriced because I want to pack it in my bag and take it home. I just wanted to show it off.
